A/R/Tography

A/R/Tography is a form of educational-artistic research in which artmaking is used to generate new knowledge from the intertwined roles of Artist, Researcher, and Teacher — three perspectives that each yield a different response to the research question. Emerging from the University of British Columbia in 2003, this living methodology treats both teaching and artmaking as forms of inquiry and sources of knowledge.
