Each impression is pulled by hand from zinc plates worked in drypoint intaglio — scored, inked with hand-mixed pigments, and pressed through the etching press onto dampened cotton paper. No two prints are identical; every line carries the memory of the burin's passage, every tone the weight of the ink.
